Weekly Design Inspiration: Raving About Rugs

Few things tie a room together like a statement rug. With so many open concept homes and neutral tones, rugs are often a great way to divide up spaces and bring in a textural element. Since we love our rugs so much, we wanted to show you a few of our favourite picks in anticipation of our rug sale! We can’t wait to browse through the new selections!

Chris Loves Julia x Loloi

We love Chris Loves Julia and their rugs! In their collaboration with Loloi, they have managed to design several stunning pieces. Whether you gravitate towards neutral tones or if you like a bit of colourful flair, there is a rug in this collection that will speak to you. What we love about the Chris Loves Julia x Loloi collection is that you can see how much the design duo loves to play with whimsical designs. Even the more laid back designs pair wonderfully with a dash or green or plum.

Magnolia Home x Loloi

As always, Magnolia brings it back to the basics and we can’t get enough! When collaborating with Loloi, they experimented with different textures to make designs that work with any colour palette. If you’re someone who likes to switch up your accessories, look out for their Dove collection and jute pieces! It’s a great way to incorporate a natural element and they work with a wide range of hues. If you’re looking to splurge a bit, check out their wool rugs which are ultra-soft!

Amber Lewis x Loloi

Amber Lewis isn’t just a mom, she’s a cool mom. Amber Lewis has figured out how to seamlessly blend the California cool vibe with a vintage flair, giving her Amber Lewis x Loloi pieces a look that is all their own. She isn’t afraid to mix and match and play with colours and textures and all of that is apparent in her amazing collection. Her rugs reflect the colours of the sunset and the ocean, playing with deep blues and pink hues. Lots of her pieces are great for busy families as the pattern serves as a busy backdrop for any missed crumbs.

Design Tip: If you can’t pick just one rug, try using two! Layering rugs is a fantastic way to create a relaxed feeling in your home and an easy way to introduce more colour and texture.
