Weekly Design Inspiration: Flower Power

Anyone even remotely interested in all things interiors knows that a fabulous floral arrangement can take even the most drab of spaces and turn it into a destination! We love all things natural and we also love the people who can transform nature into living art installations! That’s why this week we are taking a look at a few of our favourite florists on the web and some of the work that they have done!

May flowers

Are we hopeless romantics at heart? Maybe, but we’re not alone. What we love about May Flowers is the strong aesthetic behind each of their pieces. Each arrangement reads as a painting from a bygone era and we are smitten with every bit of it. The soft, muted peaches and crimsons are so inspiring and speak to Victorian paintings in a modern way.

Our favourites? The Nordic Winter Centrepiece and the Home for the Holidays Centrepiece.

bloomfields

If you’re in the Ottawa area like us then we hope that you have had a chance to stop by Bloomfields. They are able to create 3D masterpieces like nothing that we’ve ever seen. They take a more is more approach to a lot of their arrangements but still have a great eye for editing and incorporate some out of the box thinking that we’re obsessed with. Though the arrangements are robust, the subtlety in the pieces let you explore the look slowly.

We are loving their Champagne Vase Arrangement and their Cloud White Arrangement!

wild north flowers

The name might say it all but you can’t deny that Wild North Flowers creates pieces that ooze with dazzling personality. Exotic looks and things from a fantastical dreamland are the name of the game here and we love it! There is something so immensely satisfying about seeing people excel at their job and that is how we feel about every arrangement from Wild North Flowers. We are sure that these punch colours and larger than life blooms belong at every fantastic party!

We can’t get enough of The Luxe and Juicy Fruit!

Design Tip: If you know you can’t keep up with fresh flowers all of the time, look at purchasing dried flowers from these creators! They last as long as you're careful and can be used as filler in vases!
