Shop With Me: Après Ski

Although at times we sometimes wish that we lived by a beach with warm weather all year round, the truth is that we would miss our ski trips. We love camping out in a chalet for a week or two and seeing all that nature has to offer slope-side but the truth is that we love the après ski just as much as the real thing. We’ve rounded up some of the things that make our ski trips just that little bit better and we think that you’ll agree!

Few things in life feel better than sipping a hot drink while looking out over a ski hill. We love that just the act of having hot cocoa forces you to slow down and take it all in, which is exactly what a vacation should be about! We are practically connoisseurs of hot drinks and we’ve selected some things that can take your nightcap from good to great!

We find that after a day of hitting the slopes we’re a little (or a lot) sore. Striking up a fire and nestling in with a good book is pretty much our dream but a good throw can make it even better. A nice blanket with a good weight to it is exactly what we need to enjoy a movie night and stretch out our legs. Wool blankets are great for durability while cashmere and shearling are better for softness.

We have been recommending this blanket to everyone, but this is another one that popped up on our radar and we are obsessed!

When you’re traveling it’s nice to bring a bit of home with you and in case you can’t tell we love being all bundled up after a day in the snow. That’s why we always have a good pair of slippers with us. Since your feet have been strapped in all day you should show them some love! It’s a non-essential comfort that makes you feel luxurious but also incredibly at home. 

We’re big fans of these but we plan on buying these before our next trip!

Trip Tip: A little tip for when you’re booking your next ski getaway is to check if the booking service you use has a “ski-in, ski-out” filter. That means you can just pop on your skis outside and hop directly onto a trail! It saves you so much time and pretty much guarantees that you’ll have a great view!
