Weekly Design Inspiration: Holidays at CPD!
The holidays are right around the corner and here at CPD we could not be more excited! It’s the time to bake to your heart’s content, visit with friends and family, and transform your home with seasonal décor. Luckily for you, we just stocked up on our Christmas items and we want to share some of our ideas with you! Go for the whole home look by incorporating garlands, ornaments and stockings for the entire family! We even featured some of our favourite items from the store.
Ring around the Wreath
With an emphasis on natural décor over the past few years, it’s no surprise that garlands and wreaths have become one of the seasonal stars. Garlands can work pretty much anywhere; from your railing, to an archway, even as a table runner! Wreaths are the perfect addition to any door or fireplace. They come with or without lights and in different species! Pro tip? Combine a more traditional species with a modern strand like eucalyptus. Be sure to check out our options in-store!

No Ordinary Ornaments
Perhaps everyone’s favourite activity is to decorate the tree. There are so many styles that will work for your home, but one of our favourites is the subdued, natural style. We love the feeling of going back to our roots during the holiday season. That’s why we just had to have the feathered ornaments for ourselves once we saw them! To complete the look, pair with garlands of dried fruit.

Stocking Up
Stockings are such a special moment for families on Christmas morning. Often, stockings are the first things that the kids run downstairs to see! Give yourself the gift of quality pieces that are up to the task. There are so many options that you can choose from to make your stockings special, like the leather and linen stockings that we carry in-store. To make the moment even more special, take your stockings to a tailor or embroidery specialist and have your names stitched onto the sock!

Design Tip: If you feel like your wrapping skills need a bit of a refresh, consider layering your decorations. Throw in some folding techniques, add twine, velvet ribbons, sprigs of pine, or even a wax seal. Voila! You have yourself an Instagram-worthy gift for all of your friends!
