Weekly Design Inspiration: Laundry Rooms

For most, laundry is a necessary evil of day to day life, and it really doesn’t help that laundry rooms of standard built homes are usually dark dingy basement utility rooms that you would rather not spend your time in.

Refreshing a laundry room and turning it into an inviting, practical space is a sure way to make the task of laundry so much more enjoyable.

I realize I might be a rarity but I actually love doing laundry, however putting it away is another story! 

I love the soft muted tones and natural elements of this laundry room. The wicker laundry baskets complement the space while remaining practical and eco-friendly. I love the idea of adding décor to make the laundry room a thoughtful room in your home rather than pure utility.

 Who wouldn’t want a double washer and dryer. It’s so efficient, especially for large families.

For me personally, 2 washers (ok, 3 if you insist) and one dryer would be sufficient because other than towels and bed linens, I hang all of my clothes to dry.

I am a huge fan of shiplap, especially in the laundry room! The choice of artwork definitely feels like you’re bringing the outdoors in, which is an added bonus on laundry day!
